3 priorities for acting together
< Commitments

Co-designing solutions with our stakeholders

We consider dialogue with our stakeholders to be very important. It is therefore a component of our co-design and partnership approach.

This priority focuses on three commitments:

8

Contributing to a responsible economy through employment and local growth

9Co-designing solutions and talking to our stakeholders

10Disseminating and sharing our skills

Focus

  • Être un partenaire du développement local
    sitafr_engagements_contribuerattractiviteterritoires

    CARSAT.

  • Remaining involved at each step of a project
Sita - intervenir à chaque étape d'un projet

SITA, in partnership with Airbus, Equipe’Aéro Services, Snecma and Aeroconseil, launched the PAMELA-Life  (Process for Advanced Management of End of Life of Aircraft) project. Initiated in 2006 in Tarbes’s airport, aircraft deconstruction and part recycling procedures were tested on a dedicated site.

The primary objective was to establish new standards in the field of aircraft pollution control and the return of equipment and spare parts to the market, in compliance with EASA PART 145 European regulations.

In 2009, following this testing phase, SITA and its partners created the Tarmac Aerosave company, which specialises in the  dismantling and recovery of end-of-life aircraft.

SITA’s expertise in terms of the recycling and re-use of materials enables it to intervene during the various stages of this project. It can now recycle up to 90% of such materials.

  • Supporting applied research programmes
Sita - soutenir des programmes de recherche appliquée

In France’s Nord region, SITA – in partnership with Néo-Eco Recycling and Douai’s École des Mines – has launched an applied research programme on the recovery of river sediments and mineral waste for recycling into urban fixtures and amenities.
This programme currently enables a certain type of concrete to be formulated for the creation of precast elements that will be used for urban structures and amenities.
